The challenge of bridging athletic energy and luxury retail

The primary challenge for the Soul Runner project was to translate the high energy and bold personality of Tyreek Hill into a sophisticated retail environment that would resonate within the prestigious Aventura Mall. We needed to create a space that functioned not only as a point of sale for performance driven apparel but also as a sanctuary for the brand’s community. Our solution centered on a minimalist design language that utilizes natural materials and a neutral palette to create a serene, inviting backdrop.

The challenge of creating a soulful and sophisticated sanctuary

The project at Peninsula I presented the challenge of transforming a traditional high rise layout into a cohesive, open concept environment that felt both grand and intimately personal. Our solution focused on anchoring the main living area with a custom modular sofa and sculptural lounge chairs, creating a sense of scale and continuity. To bridge the gap between sophistication and warmth, we integrated indirect architectural lighting and a curated selection of artworks by Mexican artists, adding layers of vibrancy and soul to the space. The redesign extends into the private quarters, where we utilized vertical wood accents and a serene palette to elongate the architecture and create a luxurious sense of calm.

Melon Design Studio oversaw the complete transformation of Peninsula I, managing everything from the selection of high end Italian furnishings to the precise installation of custom architectural details. By maintaining a single point of contact throughout the design and execution phases, we ensured a seamless journey that reflects Helga’s commitment to functional elegance. The final result is a high quality residential environment where soft textures and meticulous craftsmanship converge to create a timeless home that adds significant long term value to the property.
